We are seeking the
right individuals
who could open a
new area at Latter-day
Village and grow
it into a paid membership.
Areas we have been
considering are (for
starters):
- Young Womens
- Relief Society/Home
Arts
- Activities Committee
- Scouts
- Homeschool
- LDS Travel
- LDS Scrapbooking
- Family Home
Evening
- Early Childhood
Learning
- Missionary
- Fun Dating Ideas
- Single Adult Activities
Qualifications -
you need to be self-motivated -
that means you love
the topic you are
overseeing. It often
works out that you
are currently serving
in that area, but
that is not required.
You have to have
the time and desire to
spend it developing
the area. This can
include creating
new material yourself,
preparing your own
existing collection
of material for the
website and uploading
it, and also gathering
ideas and resources
from others and preparing
and uploading them
to the website. The
way we have gathered
a lot of the content
in Seminary and Primary
is by keeping up
with postings on
various email groups
and requesting permission
to include the best
material at LDV.
You have to be comfortable
with software programs
like Microsoft Word,
Adobe Acrobat, web
graphics programs,
HTML editors and
learning new software.
You will need to
edit for propriety,
grammar, spelling
and formatting. You
will need to feel
comfortable contacting
people - usually
by email.
Compensation - The
first thing we offer
is free subscriptions
to all our paid areas.
Once the new area
becomes a paid subscription,
you can earn a flat
rate for each new
subscription. The
amount is based on
whether you are working
on your own or if
you have an assistant.
This behooves you
to also market your
area to generate
new subscriptions.
We will of course
feature all new areas
prominently on the
site, and in our
correspondence with
subscribers. But
there are other things
you can do to promote
your area to your
target audience.
That is up to you.
If you have an existing
LDS website of your
own, and would like
to expand the exposure
to a much broader
audience, consider
becoming a shopkeeper
at LDV!
Assistant Shopkeeper
Work with the shopkeeper
of an area to build
content and promote
the area to new subscribers.
Depending on your
time and expertise,
this may include
any of the qualifications
listed for shopkeepers.
Compensation for
assistants includes
free memberships
and commissions on
new subscriptions
- a portion of the
total we devote to
shopkeepers - depending
on the division of
labor.
Monitor
Monitors belong
to various LDS email
groups where they
watch for great ideas
- request permission
from original posters
to use their ideas
at LDV, and then
prepare and upload
them to the site.
It is best if you
already belong to
a list that you are
quite familiar with.
Compensation for
monitors is free
memberships at LDV,
as long as you gather
at least 50 articles
a year.
Content Provider
Perhaps you have
spent the past five
years in Young Womens
and have a large
collection of lesson
helps, handouts,
activities and so
forth that you have
prepared - all stored
on your computer.
If you are willing
and have the time
to upload your material
to the website, and
you contribute at
least 50 articles
a year, you earn
free memberships
at LDV.
If you prepare NEW
material that pertains
to current curriculum,
and can commit and
be consistent about
submitting it prior
to when it is needed,
you earn free memberships
and if it is a new
area, depending on
volume, you can earn
commissions on new
subscriptions.

Now that LDV can sell digital products for instant download, we are happy to sell your finished manuscripts as eBooks. We offer 50% commissions on all digital download products. Please let us know if you are interested.

Musician
We are seeking original LDS music - either sheet music or recorded music, to sell in our Village Download Depot. We can sell any digital media for instant download. We offer 50% commissions for all digital products. Contact us if you are interested!
Editor
There are several
opportunities for editors
at LDV. We publish
a bi-monthly newsletter
that goes out to all
our subscribers, free
and paid. It would
be wonderful to have
a Newsletter Editor
to oversee that project.
This would include
some writing, gathering,
formatting articles
and graphics and then
delivering by email
through our membership
software on time, and
posting completed newsletters
to the website archives.
We have some collections
that need to be reviewed
and edited as needed
and then uploaded to
the website.
We are working on
new projects for publication
that will need an editor.
Our front page is
updated weekly - we
need an editor to make
sure each of our six
areas have the new
material in place on
time each week.
Compensation will
vary - but will include
free memberships and
either a flat rate
or commission, depending
on the nature of the
project.
Translator
Are you fluent in
written and spoken
Spanish/ French/ German/
Japanese or other language
aside from English?
We would love to include
more materials for
international latter-day
saints. All translated
material will go in
our Free Sampler. Free
subscriptions are available
for anyone who submits
at least 50 translations
a year.
